How to Fix "The File is too Large for the Destination file system"

This is very common problem when copying a file more than 4gb, i was confuse why it happened even thought my  Flash drive has a lot of memory space to copy the file because i have a 10gb free space and i only copy 5gb......and i found that this is because the file system of my flash drive  is set to FAT32 and according to the wiki  that Fat32 are capable of holding Only 4gb..

to fix this problem you need to convert the file system into a NTFS because all i know that NTFS are capable of holding any size of memory..so how to convert it into NTFS File System??Do i need to Reformat my Flash Disk in order to convert it into a NTFS? The answer In No you Don't need to reformat your flashdrive to convert it into File System .......... you can convert it using CMD w/out loosing any files or data into your flashdrive.

How to Convert FAT32 into NTFS using CMD ?
  • click start>run>type 'cmd' w/out quote or simply windows + r and type cmd click ok and it will prompt the cmd.
  • type this convert H: /FS:NTFS and press enter... where your H: is the drive letter of your Disk that you want to convert to NTFS.

converting to NTFS

and your successfully convert it into NTFS now go to your drive properties, your file system is change to NTFS and you can now copy more than 4gb ....
